I used a video of my dog as reference; drawing each frame like I did with this dog animation aliuh.deviantart.com/art/Happy….  It took a few days to make, and I will be redoing the ground later and probably adding shading.

Critiques are welcome! :)  I know the tail isn't right already. XD

Is there a way to download this or any other moving object of art?

In order to download it you have to right click on download, and select either 'Save Link As' or 'Save Target As'  This only works if your on a PC, and in order to open the file you would need to have some form of Flash Player, which is free to download.

How to animate is a pretty broad topic. Can you be more specific? :)

Comparing this run cycle to your icon, this one looks more natural.

How exactly do people do these animations??? Can you use adobe aftereffects for the lightning??? Because the lightning looks real and I really don't know how to do things like shiny words and cool stuff :|

The lightning was actually painted in Photoshop.  I think it was five different pictures of lightning I made to get the effect. :)

The rest of the animation was made in Adobe Flash.  I've never used aftereffects, so I can't help you there.

Did you buy Flash yourself or get it from college or similar? Or do you have creative cloud? Ta bud :)

Oh neat :)
No unfortunately, I don't. It'd be interesting to experiment with though, not that I have the time needed for the necessary practice lol, as ever ^^. Have to work all summer too, it's a requirement of my college course. Can't even take a short break I don't think, especially during harvest. Ah well :)

What course are you taking? Animation?

Yeah I guess so haha.
Interesting you should say that, but now you're in for a large amount of text XD. On the one hand you are incorrect because I am currently studying Agriculture lol(that's why I mentioned harvest :) ), but on the other hand I was thinking of switching to Animation next year! I have a confirmed place on the course already (well a month or two ago) because apparently I have a strong portfolio lol, not sure how :3
But my current course is 2 years long, so perhaps I shall stay till the end. I'm not sure. I keep changing my mind ^^; since I want to work with livestock and be an artist haha. Decisions eh? :)
If I do stop at the end of this year I will still get a qualification so that's good.
Since we don't go back till November, technically I could go start the Animation course in September and see which I prefer XD sneaky haha.

Oh dear. XD
That sounds a lot like the decisions I have to make myself. XD Who says there can't be Artist Farmers? We should start a trend.
I took one year of animation but its wasn't what I was expecting. It was a necessary Pre-animation, which involved zero animating and only teaching how to draw. ;A; I was so disappointed and angry that I didn't continue into the animation course the next year. XD

Yepp.
Well, it's nice to know I'm not alone ^^;
I know right! I've always said that, I'm sure someone will want some art of a sheep or something XD I don't know. There is a woman who has been painting this particular livestock for like 30 years and now that it has suddenly closed down she has become really popular as people want to see how the market was in years past, and her art is selling like hot cakes XD. But she's not a farmer herself I don't think, so we should totally start that ;)

Oh, is that so? I understand being able to draw is pretty important XD but I would like to think I can do that relatively okay already haha! Not in the cartoon or anime etc style that are a lot of animations, but that's because I haven't practiced. I doubt it would take that long since I learn quickly :)
When I went for the interview they said it would mostly be on the computers apart from a small amount of sketching. Do you mean they were teaching you how to draw, but on the computer lol?
I hear what you're saying though, and I'll keep it in mind ^^ thank you. It could be you've saved me a year of my life there ;)
Do you feel it has benefited you any since though? Has the information come in useful? (if that last question didn't make sense)

XD My mother has chickens and pigs up all around the house, so I'm sheep are that far-fetched.
It's always nice to hear art related success stories like that one. XD

There was very little computer drawing in the course, and was oddly enough only taught during the photography class which was a joke.  Its probably sounding like I'm knocking the course, but it probably was pretty decent, I was just to thick headed to see it. XD  Of course one does needs to know how to draw before the can animate.

As far as what I took away from it... The only thing I believed I learned was how to draw in perspective, and by that I mean how to draw buildings or rooms and its contents accurately and how they place animated characters in them.

It moves very nicely. Although, the back legs should move a bit more, they seem to look heavy, and kind of stiff. I think the back legs go up higher.
Like in this animation of yours: aliuh.deviantart.com/art/First…
Otherwise, the front legs and head look great. ;) Keep up the good work and I hope this helps!
